Stairlift Reviews UK 2026
We do not score stairlifts out of ten. We do not carry out hands-on testing, so we cannot tell you how a seat feels or how quietly a motor runs, and a score that implies we can is worse than no score at all. What we can show you is what each manufacturer publishes, what its dealers actually charge in writing, and where to read what owners say, with a link behind each one so you can check it.
How we shortlist
Models reach this page on published specifications, dealer prices we have found in writing, and the customer-review record behind the brand. We link to owner reviews rather than reprinting or averaging them, so what you see is today’s rating and not one we copied months ago. Read the full shortlisting method.

Best Straight Stairlifts
1. Stannah 600 – Best Overall
Shortlisted for the largest UK service network. Stannah publishes no price for the 600, so the figures below are its dealers’, captured August 2026. Stannah Stairlifts Ltd is the only manufacturer on this page that is both British and family-owned, with seven family members on its register of persons with significant control.
Dealer prices, as published: £2,200 to £3,000
Published by the manufacturer: nothing
Owner reviews: Trustpilot
2. Acorn 130 – Best Value
Shortlisted for the lowest published entry price. Acorn publishes no price either, and the spread between its sellers is the widest we found: the same Acorn 130 is listed across a 1.8x range, which is why the seller you choose can matter as much as the brand.
Dealer prices, as published: £1,595 to £2,895
Published by the manufacturer: nothing
Owner reviews: Trustpilot
3. Brooks Lincoln – Best for Narrow Stairs
Shortlisted because it fits staircases from 660mm. Brooks Stairlifts Ltd and Acorn Mobility Services Ltd share a majority shareholder and a registered office, which is worth knowing when you are collecting quotes that look independent.
Dealer prices, as published: £1,800 to £1,995
Published by the manufacturer: nothing
Owner reviews: none on Trustpilot
Best Curved Stairlifts
1. Handicare 1100 – Best Curved
Shortlisted because its single-tube rail fits tighter bends. Handicare is a Savaria brand, and its UK company was renamed Savaria Lifts (UK) Ltd in January 2026 while the consumer sites kept the Handicare name. Handicare publishes no prices, and its Freecurve alone is listed by three dealers at £3,995, £4,500 and £5,295.
Dealer prices, as published: £2,950 to £5,895
Published by the manufacturer: nothing
Owner reviews: Trustpilot
2. TK Home Solutions – The Only Published Price List
Shortlisted for one reason: TK is the only manufacturer here that publishes prices at model level, which makes it the only brand on this page you can price without talking to anyone. TK Home Solutions and Access BDD are the same UK company.
Published by the manufacturer: S100 £1,715, S200 £5,561, curved £5,972
Owner reviews: Trustpilot
Best Outdoor Stairlifts
Stannah Outdoor – Best Outdoor
Shortlisted because it is weatherproofed and fitted with a lockable key switch. No seller we checked publishes a price for it.
Dealer prices, as published: none found
